Kunchikal waterfalls is located near Hulikal Village Masthikatte, Hosanagara ( Taluk ) Shivamogga ( District ) In Karnataka State. This the first Highest waterfall in India and also the rank 116th highest waterfall in world.
Kunchikal waterfall is formed from the river Varahi, This water falls down from a height of 455 meters (1493 feet) in a series of steps over these rocky boulders, creating a stunning and beautiful view.
After construction of Mani dam ( Varahi dam ) and Pickup dam behind this falls the water flow is less to the falls but in rainy season ( June – August ) is the best view to see this falls.
Kunchikal waterfalls is the restricted area to visit recquired pass from Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited ( KPTCL ) from nearest office, Nearest office is in Masthikatte.
